Welcome

Sydney Wind Symphony welcomes all prospective brass, woodwind and percussion players of at least Grade 5 AMEB standard, or equivalent. We also love performing for appreciative audiences, so please check our Performance Dates below, if this is what you’re looking for.

Join us in 2022!

After a most challenging two years, we are looking forward to recommencing rehearsals and concert series in 2022. If you are looking to join a fun, friendly A-grade community wind band with an interesting and varied repertoire, here’s how you can join us.

Sydney Wind Symphony (SWS) has a long and established history. Being an A Grade concert band, SWS plays a broad and challenging repertoire and has busy schedules performing at community and civic events, delivering an annual concert programme and participating in competitions and tours.

SWS warmly welcomes new instrumentalists to join us. Our repertoire is typically of an AMEB grade 5 standard or above, as a guide. Please contact us to send your audition recording, or to come and try a rehearsal or two with the band.

Membership fees are normally due in January and June each year. Current rates per semester are:
